🔧 About the Role
You will play a key part in the commercial and contractual administration of major technical construction projects, ensuring full compliance with NEC, FIDIC, and GCC contract standards.
In this role, you will support both the Contracts Manager and Project Manager by managing contract documentation, financial controls, risk monitoring, and ensuring all contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
-
3–5 years in contract administration or commercial support within construction, electrical, or technical projects.
-
Hands-on NEC, FIDIC & GCC experience is essential.
📌 Key Responsibilities
Contract Administration
-
Administer NEC, FIDIC, and GCC contracts.
-
Prepare, review and manage all project contract documentation.
-
Maintain registers for variations, early warnings, claims, and correspondence.
-
Issue contractual notices, claims, and extensions of time.
-
Support dispute resolution processes.
Commercial & Financial Control
-
Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and commercial reporting.
-
Process subcontractor/supplier payment applications.
-
Monitor project cash flow, variations and cost-to-complete.
-
Identify commercial risks and support monthly reviews.
Project & Documentation Support
-
Liaise with site, procurement, and project teams for compliance.
-
Maintain project records, bonds, guarantees, and insurance files.
-
Assist in project close-outs and final accounts.
Compliance & Governance
-
Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements and safety systems.
-
Support audit processes and uphold confidentiality across all records.
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
-
National Diploma / Degree in QS, Construction Management, Commercial Law, or similar.
-
OR strong qualification-by-experience in contract or commercial administration.
Technical Skills
-
MS Office proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook).
-
Experience with project/document control systems (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint).
-
Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial principles.
💡 Advantageous

Experience in electrical, instrumentation, industrial, mining or oil & gas projects.

Knowledge of procurement & supply chain processes.
