Position: Refrigeration Technician

Location: Durban

Overview:

Adcorp Blu is seeking an experienced and reliable Refrigeration Technician with strong industrial repair expertise to join our client’s technical team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-capacity cooling systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex industrial refrigeration equipment. They must also have a solid background in servicing and maintaining refrigeration systems for commercial and industrial facilities, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Candidate Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair issues with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and refrigerant lines.
Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure energy-efficient operation.
Install new refrigeration units and verify correct system performance.
Conduct high-level fault finding on industrial fridges, freezers, chillers, and cooling equipment.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

Matric or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar role (industrial/commercial experience preferred).
Trade Test Certified (essential).
Clear criminal record (essential).
Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose commercial refrigeration issues.
Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation (Added Advantage)
