Candidate Requirements

This position will require:

• A person with a BSc in Horticulture, Crop Science, Agricultural Economics or related field (a Post graduate qualification will be an advantage).
• Minimum 7 - 10 years in fruit production, cultivar development, or technical advisory roles.
• Strong agronomic and varietal knowledge (especially pome fruit).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project management and strategic thinking.
• Data-driven decision-making and reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office and agricultural software tools.

The following aspects are obligatory to the position:

• Frequent travel (local and international).
• Field-based and office-based work.
• Occasional weekend and after-hours work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

The person will be part of Delecta’s dynamic Pome Fruit Team and will preferably be based in Ceres, Wolseley or Worcester.  Remuneration will be aligned with the candidate’s experience and skill set.
