A dynamic manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strong background in procurement, logistics, production planning, and inventory management to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role involves overseeing the full supply chain process, from sourcing raw materials to delivery of finished products, while ensuring efficiency, cost control, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes, including supplier negotiation, relationship management, and contract compliance

• Ensure timely delivery of quality raw materials, consumables, and other department requirements

• Oversee stores and assembly functions, including stock control, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Identify and address slow-moving or obsolete stock

• Develop and implement demand forecasting and production planning systems to ensure on-time, in-full delivery

• Manage current and long-term forecast projections to support production and inventory planning goals

• Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and prepare presentations for management

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify problems and implement solutions

• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including coordination with transport and logistics vendors

• Monitor and control distribution channels, costs, and legal compliance for import/export agreements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (NQF 7)

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain management, preferably within manufacturing, warehouse, or operations leadership

• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory control

• Computer literate (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
