The Export Sales Manager is responsible for driving international sales growth, achieving divisional revenue targets, and establishing the company’s reputation as a leading global player in the geosynthetics industry. This role requires extensive international travel, primarily across Africa, to develop and maintain key client and distributor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective export pricing strategies and sales tactics.
Drive profitable sales growth within targeted international regions.
Negotiate terms, agreements, and partnerships with international stakeholders, customers, and distributors.
Ensure the division meets profitability and revenue targets.
Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
Oversee logistics, shipping, and customer service processes to ensure operational excellence.
Engage with clients to understand their technical and design requirements for project alignment.
Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and feedback following international business trips.
Monitor changes in standards, industry developments, and market trends globally.

Candidate Requirements
Key Requirements:Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (BEng / BSc / BTech).
5–10 years’ experience in Sales and/or Marketing within the Civil Engineering or Geosynthetics sector.
Proven experience in international business, including travel within Africa.
Strong technical understanding of geosynthetic applications and design principles.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of freight, logistics, exchange rates, and international trade practices.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report and proposal writing.
Ability to manage multiple international projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
High attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the ability to think strategically.
