Step into a rewarding role as an Automation Engineer with a leading manufacturing team in Gauteng!

In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, programming, and optimising automation systems to support efficient plant operations. You will review existing equipment to identify software and hardware requirements, ensuring alignment with E&I and Lean manufacturing principles. Responsibilities include compiling automation scopes, specifying equipment, programming PLCs, and overseeing commissioning and handover processes. You will also provide training to staff for maintenance and troubleshooting.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a tertiary engineering qualification and solid experience in PLC programming. Familiarity with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Mitsubishi systems (including Modbus and Profibus) is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills will ensure success in this technically demanding role.
