An industry-leading manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Mill Manager with a solid background in Pulp and Paper production to lead and optimise operations at a large-scale mill in KwaZulu-Natal.

This strategic role will oversee multiple production departments, manage operational managers and teams, and drive world-class standards in efficiency, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the full manufacturing and operational function across designated process areas.

• Implement and monitor production targets, cost controls, and performance metrics in line with international best practices.

• Oversee CAPEX projects and asset management, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.

• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ, SOX, and environmental regulations.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability across departments.

• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align plant performance with group strategy.

Minimum Requirements

• BSc. Engineering or equivalent technical qualification (NQF Level 8).

• 10+ years’ experience specifically within the Pulp and Paper Manufacturing industry (non-negotiable).

• Proven experience leading other managers and large multidisciplinary teams in a complex manufacturing environment.

• Demonstrated track record in CAPEX planning, budgeting, and operational compliance.

• Strong technical acumen, analytical thinking, and leadership maturity.

• Completion of a Management Development Programme (MDP) or Executive Development Programme (EDP) will be advantageous.
