A well-established organisation within the marine engineering and repair industry is seeking an experienced Logistics Controller to join their team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating the movement of materials, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient workflow across multiple departments. Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials.
• Track incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery of parts, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock reconciliations.
• Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to support operational requirements.
• Prepare and process documentation such as delivery notes, purchase orders, and job-related paperwork.
• Monitor stock levels and raise requisitions to avoid shortages.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain an organised warehouse environment.

Requirements

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• A certificate or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is advantageous.
• Proven experience as a Logistics Controller or in a similar operational role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehousing processes.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety and operational accuracy.
