Employer: Outsource Retail

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Retail Chef to join our team in our retail kitchen. The Retail Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and food items for our retail customers, ensuring all food meets health and safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities: Prepare and cook high-quality meals and food items according to customer orders. Ensure all food items are made with fresh ingredients and meet health and safety standards. Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations. Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers and addressing any questions or concerns. Follow recipes and instructions accurately and consistently when preparing food items. Assist in training new kitchen staff members as needed. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications: Previous experience working as a chef in a retail or commercial kitchen environment. Culinary degree or certification preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols. Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Grade 12 qualification. Valid driver’s licence and own transport required
