One of South Africa’s largest fintech companies is seeking an Senior Data Scientist. This role has a hybrid working model.

Skills Required

·        BSc/MSc/PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Engineering.

·        5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Senior Analyst, ideally within fintech, payments, or digital commerce.

·        Proven ability to connect technical work to strategic outcomes — influencing senior stakeholders through insight and evidence.

·        Expertise in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PySpark), SQL, and applied machine learning.

·        Experience building dashboards and analytical reporting in AWS Quicksight, Power BI, or Tableau.

·        Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, especially Athena, Glue, SageMaker, Bedrock

·        Strong grasp of data pipelines and cloud data architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Athena, Glue).
