Vacancy Details
Employer: Impoqo Trading
- Assist with capturing and processing supplier invoices, payment requests, and staff claims.
- Support reconciliation of supplier accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain and organize financial documentation and filing systems (both physical and digital).
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly payment batches and supporting documentation.
- Track and record petty cash transactions, ensuring accountability and accuracy.
- Assist with budget tracking and spend analysis across projects.
- Help compile documentation for internal reviews, audits, and financial reporting.
- Perform data entry and updates in accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Liaise with other departments to resolve queries related to invoices, approvals, and payments.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Accounts Team.
- Financial reporting up to management accounts.
Required Skills
- Bookkeeping: 3 to 4 years
- Cost Accounting: 3 to 4 years
- Xero: 3 to 4 years
Candidate Requirements
- Qualification: National Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Finance (NQF Level 6)
- Driver’s Licence: Valid South African driver’s licence is mandatory
- Software Knowledge:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer literacy
- Experience with Xero accounting software will be a strong advantage
- Cost Accounting knowledge will be a strong advantage
- Good Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with accountants, project teams, and other departments.
- Data Entry Skills: Strong computer skills for accurate and efficient data entry in accounting systems.
- Organisational: Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain orderly financial records, and meet reporting deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and consistency when capturing and reviewing financial data.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify, report, and help resolve issues related to invoices, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Team Player: Works well in a collaborative, team-based environment with a willingness to learn and support others.
- 3-5 Years experience
- Understanding of the accounting processes
- Bookkeeping skill and accounting software knowledge (Xero accounting software knowledge will be an advantage)
- General ledger account reconciliation
- Debtors and creditors reconciliation
- Financial reporting up to management account.
