Location: South Africa (Remote / Hybrid)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive (ZAR 400,000 – 500,000 p.a. depending on experience)
Reporting to: Directors, UK Dental Group
This is a unique cross-border leadership role offering the best of both worlds — the opportunity to work remotely from South Africa while managing and influencing operations.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, commercially minded professional with a proven track record in healthcare operations or multi-site management, capable of driving performance, patient satisfaction, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
-
Oversee and optimise the daily operations of three UK-based dental practices, ensuring smooth coordination between reception, clinical, and nursing teams.
-
Drive efficiency, compliance, and profitability across all sites, working closely with UK-based leads and directors.
-
Implement performance dashboards and monthly KPIs (revenue, UDAs, private treatment growth, patient feedback, chair utilisation, etc.).
-
Manage staff scheduling, HR processes, and support recruitment and training (via local practice managers and head nurses).
-
Support marketing, digital presence, and patient experience initiatives to grow both NHS and private revenue.
-
Monitor financial performance, budgets, and supplier contracts, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
-
Maintain compliance with CQC, NHS, and GDC regulations, ensuring audit readiness across all sites.
-
Liaise directly with the UK Directors and Accountants to support reporting, payroll, and practice planning.
Candidate Requirements
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 5+ years of experience in dental or healthcare practice management (multi-site experience preferred).
-
Strong understanding of NHS and private dentistry models, including UDAs, mixed practice management, and capitation schemes.
-
Excellent organisational and leadership skills — able to manage remotely and influence multiple teams.
-
Proficiency in dental practice software, Excel/Google Sheets, and KPI reporting tools.
-
A problem-solver and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
-
Exceptional communication skills — written, verbal, and cross-cultural.
-
Prior experience working with UK or international clients is highly desirable.
