A reputable automotive company is seeking a Senior Retail Manager to lead operations at their hypermarket dealership in Centurion, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a large team, driving sales performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the dealership, ensuring seamless functioning across all departments
• Lead and motivate a team of over 230 employees to achieve performance and sales targets
• Develop and execute sales strategies, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives
• Manage stock levels, merchandising, and store layout to optimize sales performance
• Analyze sales data and KPIs to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with suppliers, logistics, and finance teams to enhance overall efficiency
• Conduct training sessions, performance reviews, and implement staff development programs
• Handle customer escalations with professionalism and empathy

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail management, preferably within a hypermarket or large-format store
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams in a retail environment
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and customer service best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in retail systems, reporting tools, and performance tracking
• Matric essential; tertiary qualification in Retail Management or Business Administration advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly, and deliver results in a high-volume environment
