Are you a skilled Development Engineer with expertise in electronic hardware design and embedded systems, ready to innovate and enhance high-tech products? Join a technical team in Modderfontein, Gauteng, where you’ll design, prototype, and optimize electronic circuits and embedded systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, reliable solutions.

Requirements:

•       B.Eng (Electronics) / BSc Engineering (Electronics) or equivalent

•       Minimum 5 years’ experience in analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and product development

•       Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications

•       Experience with PCB design (Altium Designer advantageous)

•       Knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGAs, DSP, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)

•       Experience in circuit simulation and analysis tools (LTSpice, PSpice, MATLAB)

•       Understanding of EMC/EMI compliance, DFM/DFT principles, and industrialization of electronic systems

•       Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills

•       Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement

Desirable Skills

•       Experience in hardware-software integration

•       Knowledge of RF design and antenna integration

•       Exposure to laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, multi-meters)

•       Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)
