We’re seeking a skilled System Administrator / Query Specialist to join our client’s IT team in Century City, Cape Town. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise-level data exchanges, APIs, and control processes between servers, sites, and customers. The role requires strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure system stability and efficiency.

Key Requirements:
• National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent (NQF 5/6)
• 4+ years’ experience in PHP and MySQL
• Experience with Cloud, Linux, Windows, and FTP deployments
• Knowledge of APIs, Networking, and XML advantageous
• Strong documentation, query handling, and problem-solving abilities
• Touch typing and bilingual (English & Afrikaans) required
• Own transport and available for after-hours support

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain data transmission services, scripts, and FTP folders
• Perform data queries, imports/exports, and process testing
• Compile reports, reconciliations, and resolve system and customer queries
• Collaborate with teams on query resolution and business analytics
• Manage B2B data movements and ensure HTTPS compliance
• Maintain and update system documentation
