Our client is looking for a qualified and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to assist with the movement and handling of goods at their Fruit & Veg store in King Williams Town. The ideal candidate should have prior experience operating a forklift in a fast-paced environment, preferably involving fresh produce or FMCG stock, and must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move stock safely and efficiently
• Transport stock from receiving to storage areas or the shop floor as needed
• Stack goods in the correct storage bays and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO)
• Assist with stock counts and inventory movement when required
• Conduct daily checks on the forklift and report any mechanical issues
• Comply with health and safety regulations, especially in busy retail environments
• Assist in general store duties when not operating the forklift
• Work closely with the receiving and dispatch teams to ensure smooth flow of goods
• Handle produce with care to avoid damage or spoilage
