The Credit Risk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the credit risk assessment and monitoring processes to ensure that credit exposure remains within acceptable levels. The role involves supervising credit risk analysts, reviewing credit assessments, implementing credit risk strategies, streamlining systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
· Supervise a team of 5 credit risk analysts, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
· Oversee the credit evaluation process for new and existing clients, ensuring adherence to internal credit risk policies.
· Ensure timely escalation of high-risk exposures and contribute to decisions regarding credit approvals and rejections.
· Collaborate with other departments like commercial, to ensure a balanced approach to risk and business growth.
· Prepare regular credit risk reports and dashboards for senior management.
· Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks.
· Participate in the development and enhancement of credit risk models, policies, and systems.

This will include the preparation of vetting documents and the presentation of recommendations to all stakeholders. · Manage all administrative and operational aspects of the relevant divisional clients ensuring completeness, accuracy and validity of data. · Monitor client’s business performance and identify relevant risks to ensure early identification of change in the client’s business or operating environment. · Implement measures to mitigate credit and financial risk against the company. · Ensure and monitor that all contracts are valid. · Ensure standard operating procedures are in place and are updated accordingly. |
| · Assist the legal team with compliance and code of conduct and develop the process between the departments. |
| · Manage the in follow of new accounts and distribute to the risk analysis. · Ensure POPI Act is followed. · Ensure all Company and Credit Acts are followed. |
| · Ensure that you know and adhere to all Company policies and procedures. · Development of new policy within the group. · Refer to the company’s dress code.

Required Skills
- Financial Analysis: 5 to 6 years
- Credit Risk Analysis: 5 to 6 years
- Risk Assesment: 5 to 6 years
- Credit Supervisor: 5 to 6 years
Candidate Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Credit Management 5 or risk management.
- 5 years of experience in credit risk, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk principles, financial statement analysis, and credit scoring models.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory guidelines.
- 5 years of experience in credit risk, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Dealt with a large debtor’s book of +R1b and complex debtors.
- Knowledge of multiple currencies.
- Knowledge of Cargowise and SAP Systems and Freight knowledge.
- Advances excel skills.
Experience using risk management tools and software.
