A leading manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with strong experience in developing and executing local and international marketing strategies to join their team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving brand positioning, market development, and customer engagement across multiple sectors. Candidates must have relevant experience within the agriculture, mining, water treatment, or chemical industries.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage marketing strategies to promote business growth in both local and international markets.

• Oversee all print, online, and social media marketing initiatives.

• Build and maintain strong agent and customer relationships across various sectors.

• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, customer needs, and competitive trends.

• Collaborate with agents, customers, and partners to achieve marketing objectives.

• Plan, coordinate, and participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry networking events.

• Develop and manage pricing strategies in collaboration with senior management.

• Facilitate product trials and demonstrations with agents and customers.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with Core Mathematics and Science.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

• Additional qualification in Chemistry, Agricultural Sciences, Leather Technology, or Water Treatment is advantageous.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar marketing role with exposure to international markets.

• Proven success in brand positioning, product marketing, and market expansion.

• Experience in market research, campaign management, and trade fair participation.

• 3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following industries: agriculture, mining, water treatment, or chemicals.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel) and basic Windows operating knowledge.

• Syspro ERP experience will be an advantage.

• Valid driver’s license, valid passport, and own reliable transport.

• Physically fit and willing to travel locally and internationally.

• Clear criminal record.
