As Product Manager you are required to be of a versatile nature as the core responsibilities stretch across a range of defined areas including procurement, product positioning, product life cycle, brand communications, financials, go-to market strategies, marketing, stock management, technical resources, and brand development.
A core underlying requirement of a good product manager is become an excellent marketeer in the specific area of focus through market research, customer communications and competitor analysis. The best product managers acquire channel vision to sustain continued growth through portfolio management and continued product life-cycle replenishment strategies.
In the context of the role at REGAL a product manager is to carry core personality / character traits of being customer centric (supporting not only direct customers of REGAL but the internal sales channels as customers to the brand) when this support is top priority in solution and technical based products it upskills the sales channels through product and sales team integration whilst directly resulting in the end customers continued support and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
· Management of the portfolio’s product life cycle in alignment with industry life cycle (Introduction, growth, maturity, decline) with focused portfolio replenishment.
· Identifying market requirements for current and future product through means of market research and ongoing visits with customers (internal and external)
· Driving easy solution sets across the sales team (generally linked to projects and market
communications – marketing)
· Developing and implementing go-to-market portfolio strategies and plans working across multiple departments
· Analysing and maintaining potential partner relationships for the portfolio and the brand
· Providing the sales channels with the necessary tactical expertise to enable then to sell the product range confidently (Including literature and training)
· Constantly reviewing product data and competitor products and providing the sales channels up to date information on these developments
· Acts as the first point of contact for all product related enquiries as well as all direct communications and relationship management with the brand.
· Involved in the development and roll-out of the annual marketing plan for the brand including the control of promotions, sales aids, roadshows, or any customer events.
· Prepares the product forecasts for upcoming orders whilst constantly overseeing the respective inventory levels within the portfolio and managing the supply chain.
· Developing core positioning and messaging for the product portfolio
· Maintaining oversight and management of the respective brands project pipeline for whilst ensuring correct pricing, solution design and supply timelines.
· Oversees the management and planning of all physical product demos (branch demo equipment or innovation centre)
· Assists in merchandising of products at store front
· Drive to ensure the brand revenue and GP targets are met
· Manage and oversee the brand contractual “incentives” associated with the product portfolio, including rebates, marketing budgets, and RMA.
· Ensuring the product portfolio aligns with the OEM roadmap and is well communicated.

Candidate Requirements
- 2 - 5 years experience in a Technical role
- Good understanding of Regal Products and House Brands
- Own vehicle with valid Driver’s license
