DUTOIT AGRI: EASTERN CAPE: LANGKLOOF

An exciting position is vacant for a Human Resources Business Partner in Joubertina in the Eastern Cape. The Eastern Cape operation comprises three fruit packhouses, a cooling facility and 10 production units, and also acts as a mentor for an empowerment farm. The production units are spread between Waboomskraal, near George, and Kareedouw; the fruit packhouses are in Joubertina and Misgund.

This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of labour-related matters within the company’s division. This includes, among other things, the following:

• Assistance with manpower planning
• Recruitment and selection
• Compensation (including surveys, market comparisons, job grading)
• Labour relations
• Administration of certain human resources and departmental tasks (for example, Sectoral Exemptions, determining training needs, etc.)
• Maintenance of statutory provisions with regard to labour legislation
• Handling of union-related matters
• Support to workers with personal matters
• Social welfare function

The position reports directly to the Head: Dutoit Agri Eastern Cape. There will be support for the function from Dutoit Agri’s head office in Ceres.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources and at least five years of relevant experience in the agricultural environment
• Driver’s licence
• Knowledge of labour legislation
• Above-average computer and administrative skills
• Above-average management skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Good interpersonal skills
• SIZA, occupational safety, and food safety experience will strengthen the application.
