A leading plastic manufacturing company based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to oversee the implementation and maintenance of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality systems across the facility. • Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ management systems, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation and company requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Promote employee awareness and training on SHEQ matters to enhance safety culture across all departments.
• Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are achieved.
• Collaborate with management and production teams to support safe and efficient operations.
• Liaise with external auditors, contractors, and regulatory authorities as required.

• Diploma or Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a SHEQ management role within a manufacturing environment (glass, chemical, or industrial sector preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 systems.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and environmental legislation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
