Employer: Tumaini Consulting

We are currently seeking a Life Actuary to join our reputable client’s team.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

· Nearly Qualified Actuary (e.g., passed all Core Principles and Core Practices exams, with one or two Specialist/Fellowship exams remaining, or equivalent standing). Must be on track to attain Fellowship (FASSA or equivalent) within 18 months.

· Minimum of 3 years' practical experience in the Life Insurance industry, with exposure to one or more of the following: Valuations, Financial Reporting, Pricing, or Capital Management.

· Advanced proficiency in actuarial modelling software (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, R, Python, or SQL).

· Expert-level command of Microsoft Excel.

· In-depth knowledge of South African life insurance regulatory frameworks (e.g., SAM, Insurance Act) and financial reporting standards (IFRS 17).
