A well-established manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Sales and Technical Support Manager with a strong engineering background and a passion for customer service to join their team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise, the ability to manage sales performance, and a proactive approach to resolving customer issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service and technical sales support.

• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.

• Manage sales budgets and monitor gross margins.

• Attend to customer complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring responses within 24 hours.

• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting solutions.

• Conduct preventative maintenance programs and customer equipment audits.

• Identify and drive measurable technical and process improvements.

• Liaise between customers, planning, and internal sales teams to ensure accurate forecasting.

• Understand customer operations to deliver tailored packaging solutions.

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree (BTech or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics).

• Proven experience in a technical sales or customer support role.

• Strong organisational and relationship-building skills.

• Proficiency in Excel with the ability to generate reports and analyse data.

• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to inspire others.

• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).

• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
