- Ensure all gaming software and hardware across campus computers are kept up to date. This includes managing Windows licenses and system restrictions.
- Work directly with servers, IP addresses, and application updates to ensure a smooth and reliable gaming environment.
- Create, schedule, and run competitive and casual leagues for students to participate in throughout the academic year.
- Continuously work to increase student participation in Esports activities and grow the overall community.
- Plan and organize "fun days" where students can explore and play new games, fostering a sense of community and helping them connect with new friends.
- Record and stream select matches and tournaments to our official YouTube channel, providing live commentary to enhance the viewing experience.
- Manage and operate the official Discord channel and WhatsApp group, ensuring all students are up to date with relevant communications, event schedules, and announcements.
- Host webinars for students, staff, and parents to educate them on the benefits of Esports and provide insights into the program's operations and initiatives.
- Plan, organize, and execute large-scale, one-day tournaments at major South African conventions, including Comic Con Cape Town, Comic Con Africa, and rAge Expo.
- Handle all logistics for these events, including equipment setup, competitor registration, and on-site coordination.
- Organize and host on-campus events specifically designed for high school students to introduce them to Belgium Campus and our Esports program.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all student inquiries related to the Esports program.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including IT, marketing, and student affairs departments, to ensure the smooth operation of all Esports initiatives.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive environment for all participants, promoting good sportsmanship and fair play.

Candidate Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
• IT or software degree.
• Demonstrable experience in organizing and running competitive gaming events or leagues.
• Significant practical experience with IT infrastructure, including working with servers, managing IP addresses, and handling application updates and licenses.
• Practical experience highly as a core component of this job is hands-on IT management.
• Strong knowledge of the Esports industry, including popular game titles, professional leagues, and community trends.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Experience with live-streaming platforms (e.g., YouTube, Twitch) and broadcasting software (e.g., OBS).
• Proficiency in community management tools (e.g., Discord, WhatsApp).
• Highly organized with strong project management skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A passion for gaming and a desire to build a vibrant and successful Esports program.
• Preference will be given to applicants with experience working in or coaching esports at the University or high school level and/or experience as a professional or esports player
