MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet monthly and quarterly sales and Gross Margin targets as set out by management
- Build, develop, mentor and coach a sustainable, performance driven sales team
- Develop mechanisms and strategies to maximize the Regal Market share in the region and to ensure the entire Regal range is being correctly positioned and sold in the region
- Ability to accurately communicate implemented and align regional strategies with national plans and drive effective implementation and execution of these plans through a structured sales process
- Manage and master customer expectations and ensure market leading customer service levels
- Work closely with internal product management as well as directly with OEMs in your region to maximize product exposure and penetration and be the interface between Manufacturers and our customers in the region
- Manage sales support to maximize customer service levels and quote response times in the region
- · Measure and monitor lost sales and opportunities to help company respond to market and stock demands as well as competitor activity
- Track daily and weekly quote, conversion and project registration ratios
- Track and monitor regular SharePoint activities and ensure you remain abreast with new releases and product offerings as highlighted by product management
- Source, register, develop and forecast a compelling projects pipeline for future sales opportunities
- Run monthly team sales meetings to cover market conditions, support needed, sales forecasts, competitor activity, opportunities and challenges
- Assist and accompany each BDM to at least 5 customers visit each month
- Ensure regular interface with local and national branches to ensure aligned regional strategy and superior customer service
- Develop personal relationships with the top 50 accounts in the region and drive collaborative development of these accounts alongside your team.
- Analyze and monitor purchase activities of each customer and direct activities to meet KPI requirements and greater market and wallet share
- Draw up and implement various sales related feedback documents for the BDM team to fill in and report back on i.e, weekly call reports, monthly pipeline forecasts, QRR and Project dashboard competitor activity.
- Manage the deadlines and feedback received from all these reports and you will need to analyze and prepare summary reports for senior management.
- Be the primary interface between your staff and senior management.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years external customers facing sales management experience
- Must have managed a sales team
- Diploma or Degree in relevant field
- Proven track record in delivering sustained and profitable growth
- Experience in selling solution or technical products essential or security industry knowledge
- Own vehicle with clean driving history
- Be willing to travel Regionally and overnight as required for Northern Natal, Coastal and Inland Trips
- Role will suit process driven individual with strong time management, problem solving and negotiating skills
- Must be computer literate with strong knowledge of excel, word and have good presentation skills
