Job Purpose:

To produce accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and models for the manufacturing and assembly of manufacturing components. The Draftsman will collaborate closely with the production and design teams to ensure all drawings are precise, up-to-date, and meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Create and maintain drawing libraries for all product components and assemblies.
Work from rough sketches, specifications, and design concepts to create accurate manufacturing drawings.
Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards and manufacturing requirements.
Revise and update existing drawings as required by design or production changes.
Liaise with production staff to clarify technical details and resolve any drawing-related issues.
Assist with the development of prototypes and support the design team with technical input.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of drawings for easy retrieval.

Candidate Requirements

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Draftsman, preferably in a manufacturing or product design environment.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD essential; SolidWorks or other 3D software advantageous).
Strong technical drawing and design interpretation skills.
Basic understanding of materials (wood, metal) and manufacturing processes.
Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail.
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with the production and design teams.
Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
