Office Administrator / Junior Bookkeeper
Location: Centurion
Salary: R12,000 – R25,000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Office Administrator/Junior Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and guiding a team, ensuring sales and support tickets are attended to promptly, and making independent decisions to maintain smooth office operations. Strong computer skills, office management abilities, and a proactive, authoritative approach are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and guide a team of office staff, providing leadership, support, and mentorship
  • Ensure sales inquiries and support tickets are promptly attended to, resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilize strong computer skills to handle various administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and email correspondence
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, assist with bookkeeping tasks, and support the senior bookkeeper as needed
  • Coordinate office operations, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and maintaining office supplies
  • Implement and enforce office policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth communication and workflow across the organization
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to enhance office processes and systems

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Proven experience as an Office Administrator, Junior Bookkeeper, or similar role
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with accounting software (e.g., Pastel)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and vendors
  • Proactive and authoritative approach to decision-making, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with sales and customer support processes is preferred
  • Prior experience in managing a team is an advantage
