Employer: Injabulo Trading
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on refrigeration and HVAC systems in stores, cold rooms, and freezer units.
- Monitor system performance and ensure all cooling equipment operates at optimal efficiency.
- Diagnose faults, replace parts, recharge systems, and conduct leak detection.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (SANS, OHS, etc.).
- Provide technical support during equipment installations and store openings.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance logs and service schedules.
- Liaise with Store Managers and external service providers to coordinate refrigeration projects or upgrades.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all refrigeration, freezer, and HVAC systems across our stores and warehouses. Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Requirements
- Trade Tested Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial/commercial refrigeration (retail/FMCG sector advantageous)
- Valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel between sites
- Knowledge of ammonia and freon systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Physically fit and able to work in cold environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Excellent planning and time-management skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to be on standby or work overtime as required
