A logistics team is currently hiring an Imports Controller in the Western Cape! View this career opportunity and apply today.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end import processes, including document verification, customs clearance, and transport coordination. Your expertise in customs procedures, HS code classification, freight forwarding, and logistics will be essential to ensure timely deliveries, accurate declarations, and cost-effective operations. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel, along with after-hours availability, will be advantageous.

Candidate Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics, with a strong focus on imports. A Grade 12/Matric certificate is essential. Level 1 and 2 Customs Training and a diploma in Shipping, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics Management are desirable. Proficiency in road transport modes, excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills (in both Afrikaans and English), and the ability to work well under pressure are also required.
