The Financial Managers function is to ensure that all company financial and management policies and procedures are carried out to the required standards, to achieve the company’s financial and business objectives, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
This role report direct to the CEO
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the expenditure of the company at suppliers.
- Inventory Management: this entails making sure Syspro correlates to the in-house stores, thus stock takes fall under this as welll.
- Following up on debtors and creditors.
- Control Petty Cash and complie petty cash journals
- Collect timesheets and book the hours on them accordinly. Analise timesheets and make sure that the informaiton given on them is accurate and that it correlates with the clocking's of each employee.
- Make sure that payments happen in a timely mannor. Confirm, check and release bank payments.
- Complie a Financial Report at the end of the month for directors with a breakdown of the company financials.
- Double check GRN's to make sure that items weren't removed form jobs and that all the jobs are booked accuratly on Syspro.
- Cooperate with auditors when company is audited.
- Complie Cashflow forecast.
- Preperation of annual budget for CEO to review.
- Investments monitoring and recommendations.
- Rate of Exchange and foward cover knowledge.
- Insurance valuation and control
- Working knowledge of Syspro: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Book, General Ledger, Purchase Orders, GRN System, Work In Progress.
- Autorising of all cheque and EFT payments, ensuring all supporting documents and allocations are correct, prepared by the cashbook clerk.
- Verification of General Ledger recons
- Authorisation of Wages.
- Authorisation of purchase order within the company limits of authority
The company may also call upon you from time to time to assist with other tasks which might not be specified above, in which instance you would report directly to the manager concerned.

Candidate Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- Computer Literacy and Training in MS Office and Syspro
- Minimum 5 years training in a Financial related role
- ISO9001 Awareness
- ISO14001 Awareness
- OHS Act
- General computer literacy to an intermediate or advanced level (Microsoft Office)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Very strong people management skills
- Strong at driving KPI’s in a team
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
