- Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical components and systems in the steel production line
- Perform routine inspections, fault diagnosis, and repair of heavy machinery
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical schematics
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Candidate Requirements
-
- Proven experience as a Fitter in a heavy industrial or metal manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed assembly procedures
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Trade qualification (Red-Seal)
