A leading company in the software and travel technology sector is seeking a skilled VILT Developer to join their team in Durban, KwaZulu- Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) content to support both internal and external digital learning programs. This role is key in creating engaging, scalable, and effective training solutions.

Responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and deliver Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) modules and materials
• Convert existing training materials into engaging digital learning content
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy
• Develop interactive and multimedia learning assets using tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate
• Ensure all eLearning content complies with SCORM and xAPI standards
• Upload, test, and manage courses within Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Continuously evaluate and improve training materials based on feedback and learning outcomes
• Stay current with trends in digital learning and instructional design
• Conduct quality assurance testing for usability, functionality, and technical issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Development, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) development
• Strong experience with eLearning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage VILT content
• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
• Experience working with SMEs, trainers, and development teams
• Comfortable operating within Agile work environments
