We have an amazing opportunity for a Management and Cost Accountant at a well-established manufacturing firm

The main purpose of this role is:

·        To provide critical financial insight through advanced costing techniques, strategic budgeting, and profitability analysis. This high-impact role requires someone with strong cost accounting and financial reporting skills, ideally within the manufacturing sector, who can work closely with the COO and CFO to drive data-informed decisions.

We require a candidate with:

·        A CIMA qualification or CA(SA) designation (non-negotiable)

·        A minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in management and cost accounting

·        Manufacturing sector experience (essential)

·        Strong knowledge of standard and absorption costing, activity-based costing, and reconciliation of labour/machining hours

·        Proven ability to analyse profitability of finished goods and reconcile over/under recoveries

·        Familiarity with SAP (preferred) and advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable)

·        Working knowledge of bank guarantees, letters of credit, revolving credit facilities, and SARB submissions

·        Deep understanding of transfer pricing, FOREX revaluations, hedging mechanisms, and forward cover contracts

·        Experience with VAT audits, stock provision management, and fixed asset register oversight

·        Ability to process payroll/VAT journals and manage SAP cost centre allocations, especially during budget cycles
