POSITION PURPOSE

To accurately pick and prepare items for delivery in accordance with company standards and client requirements, while maintaining stock integrity, ensuring operational efficiency, and complying with warehouse procedures.

 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)

1. Picking Operations

• Accurately pick items according to invoices, maintaining both speed and precision.
• Deliver picked items promptly to designated dispatch or delivery areas.
• Adhere strictly to all cut-off times for order preparation.
• Monitor and respond to email communications every 30 minutes.
• Manage specialized picking tasks (e.g., HPMPS) per guidelines.
• Complete precise documentation for items sent to the technical department.
• Record all picked invoices daily using the appropriate digital/logistics system.
• Comply with warehouse health and safety, picking, and quality control protocols.
• Maintain and update picking schedules hourly to align with workflow demands.

2. Stock Integrity and Reporting

• Immediately report any stock discrepancies, damages, or errors to the supervisor.
• Ensure only authorized stock exits the picking area.
• Coordinate with inventory and receiving teams to synchronize stock movements.
• Assist with periodic stock audits as required.

3. Teamwork and Communication

• Work collaboratively with warehouse colleagues to maintain smooth operations.
• Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding delays or operational issues.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace environment.

4. Training and Development

• Attend safety, systems, and procedures training sessions and refreshers.
• Engage actively in coaching and mentoring when required.
• Identify skill gaps and discuss training needs with the supervisor.
