The Operations Manager will be jointly responsible for overseeing and optimising the day-to-day operations of the company in line with business objectives and values within the Hospitality sector (Short Term Letting).
This role demands a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, exemplary customer service skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team. The ideal candidate will effectively manage all aspects of operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflows, high service standards, and exceptional guest, client and supplier relations and satisfaction.
NB: Please note that the successful candidate will be appointed on a 1-month contract initially, to assess suitability for the job.
Candidate Requirements
Operational Oversight
- Oversee daily operations across all departments, including front office, housekeeping, guest relations, and maintenance.
- Ensure efficient workflow, schedule staff duties/diaries and adherence to company standards and procedures.
Guest and Client Satisfaction:
- Maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through effective management of service delivery and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
- Address guest and property owners enquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment and dedication to excellence.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training, and development programs to enhance team skills and performance.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain and improve service quality across all areas of the operation.
- Implement corrective actions and improvement plans as needed.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of goods and services.
- Negotiate the best payment terms and discounts.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to align operational goals with business objectives.
- Represent the company to stakeholders, including clients, business partners, and community organisations.
