    Job Description

    Are you a qualified psychologist looking to elevate your career overseas? We are offering an exceptional opportunity to relocate from South Africa to Ireland and join our growing network of multi-disciplinary professionals working within Ireland’s public and private healthcare sectors.

    You’ll be part of dynamic teams made up of Clinical, Counselling, and Educational Psychologists, alongside Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists. With structured support from experienced Clinical Leads and Project Managers, your role will impact the lives of children and families across Ireland.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions (including ADOS-2 & ADIR assessments).
    • Lead multidisciplinary diagnostic meetings and compile comprehensive reports.
    • Collaborate closely with team members to deliver client-focused treatment plans.
    • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) regulations.
    • Contribute to service development, training protocols, and quality improvements.
    • Experience with children with Autism, Complex/Mental disabilities

    Key Competencies

    • Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
    • High-level written and verbal communication.
    • Report writing proficiency.
    • Strong ethical standards and cultural adaptability.
    • Commitment to relocation and integration into Irish healthcare systems.

     


Required Skills

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders: 1 to 2 years
  • Experience Working With Children: 3 to 4 years

Candidate Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    Entry-Level Applicants:

    • Master’s Degree in Psychology (e.g., Clinical, Counselling, or Educational) – equivalent to Irish QQI Level 8.
    • Doctoral qualification or equivalent postgraduate degree recognised by bodies like the PSSA.
    • At least 60 days of supervised clinical placement.
    • HPCSA registration as a psychologist.
    • Demonstrable skills and clinical competency in your discipline.

    Senior-Level Applicants:

    • At least 5 years of post-graduate experience (2 years post-qualification).
    • Previous leadership and supervision experience.

    Additional Requirements for Ireland:

    • Eligibility to practice in Ireland via qualification recognition (Directive 2005/36/EC or national route).
    • Detailed internship documentation including client profiles and supervision.
    • For Educational Psychologists: minimum of 120 days supervised placements across education levels.
    • PSI recognition or eligibility is essential for HSE-funded/public sector roles.
