Our client in Somerset West is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their event management operations. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 qualification and at least 3 years of experience in event supervision or a related field, including stretch tent rentals, equipment rental, and logistics control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong time management skills are essential. We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive leader who excels in both independent and team settings, possesses a valid driver’s license, and resides in the Helderberg area.

REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12
3 + years events supervision experience or experience in a similar industry, such as stretch tent rentals and set ups, event equipment rental, delegation management, operations management, logistics control, sales, technical - handyman work and warehouse management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Effective time management skills
Self-Motivated, proactive, independent worker who is a STRONG team leader
Own car and valid driver’s license
Reside in Helderberg area

DUTIES:

Supervise daily operations of the tent division, managing a team-ensuring adherence to sales and production schedules.
Conduct regular quality inspections and audits, maintaining strict compliance with industry standards.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to address equipment quality, reducing product malfunctions.
Oversee daily operations of the tent division, including scheduling, logistics, and staff management.
Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions for various events.
Manage a team of six employees, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of events.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of required equipment and materials.
Led the setup and breakdown of tent structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and client specifications.
Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Foster strong relationships with clients.
