We have an amazing opportunity for an Actuary at a leading financial services organisation based in Sandton, Johannesburg!

The main purpose of this role is:

·        To apply advanced data analytics, product insight, and actuarial expertise to enhance business processes, optimise retention and distribution strategies, support product development, and ensure accurate system implementations. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between actuarial intent and system delivery, using data and modelling tools to drive meaningful business.

We require a candidate with:

·        A qualified Fellow Actuary (FASSA or equivalent)

·        3–10 years’ experience in Invest and/or Life Insurance industries

·        Proficiency in Excel and SQL

·        Experience with statistical tools such as R and/or Python

·        A strong understanding of programming concepts (e.g., VBA)

·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Ability to work independently and drive projects from ideation to execution

·        Experience with systems development, software testing or product implementation is advantageous

·        Machine learning/regression modelling experience is a strong plus
