RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join our client’s team based in Cosmo City, Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional to take responsibility for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems in a dynamic production environment. • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems
• Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective components
• Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to address recurring mechanical issues

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Trade Test Certificate: Fitter or Fitter & Turner (essential)
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and bearings
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• High attention to detail and safety-conscious
