Company Overview
Our client is a leading player in the fire safety and distribution space, delivering exceptional service and reliable product solutions across South Africa. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Customer Care and Operations Manager to join our Johannesburg team.

Purpose of the Role
This dual-function role is critical in driving both warehouse/distribution operations and customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will lead teams, streamline processes, manage stock and dispatching, and ensure the highest standards of client care.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric + relevant degree/diploma (Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management)

• 10+ years in warehousing/distribution (FMCG industry preferred)

• 5+ years in a middle to senior management role

• Syspro or similar ERP experience – non-negotiable

• Valid driver’s licence

• Working knowledge of EH&S, inventory control, and route planning

• Strong leadership, analytical, and organisational skills

• Background in Customer Care or Customer Service Management

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse/Distribution

• Oversee receiving, warehousing, stock control, and dispatching

• Implement and enforce distribution KPIs (accuracy, OTIF)

• Route optimisation and delivery scheduling

• Cost control and productivity improvements

• Inventory integrity and regular stock reconciliations

Customer Care

• Drive a customer-first culture and resolve service issues

• Develop and enforce service procedures, standards, and records

• Monitor KPIs, analyse customer data, and generate reports

General

• Team development and performance monitoring

• Health & safety compliance and warehouse layout optimisation

• Maintain vehicles, machinery, and warehouse infrastructure
