Candidate Requirements

• Responsible for preparing parts, sanding and assemblies for painting.
• Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula
• Removing dirt, dust or grease before spray painting.
• Making sure metal is completely smooth before commencing.
• Covers / masks areas that are not going to be spray painted.
• Apply sufficient coats of required colour evenly.
• Allows paint to dry between coats
• Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition
• Responsible for the identification and separation of non-conforming parts or materials and report them to supervisors
• Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications
• Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards and make necessary adjustments.
• Utilize solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning sprayers and power equipment.
• Follow company requirements to select paint, and match colors of paint following specified color charts.
• Responsible for material and minor maintenance.

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) is essential
• Spray-painting certificate or qualification
• Knowledge and experience with at least 3 years’ experience
• Focus on details and quality of work on trailers
• Attention to detail
• Must be punctual
• Excellent communication skills
• Must reside around Linbro Park
