FUNDRAISING CONSULTANT
WESTERN CAPE FUNDRAISING OFFICE
This position will suit a mature responsible person who is prepared to work according to the Girls and Boys Town South Africa values.
This position carries a competitive basic salary plus incentives. It is based at the Western Cape Regional Fundraising Office, Pinelands, Cape Town
Duties of the Fundraising Consultant
- Attract new sponsorships and donations against set targets
- Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities
- Initiate and build relationships (face to face. networking, events)
- Produce a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month
- Service a donor portfolio
- Meet donor requirements
- Liaise with Projects to identify needs and develop proposals
- Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on the database
- Raise funds as per targets agreed upon
Candidate Requirements
Experience Required
- Previous selling or Fundraising experience
- Good writing and verbal communication skills
- At least 5 years work experience in Sales and Fundraising
- A valid driver's license
- Computer literate

- Able to work independently and within a team environment
- Like to work with people face to face, telephonically and through other electronic channels
- Must be computer literate
