Our client is looking for a Part-Time Financial Controller to join their visionary leadership team. This role is ideal for an ultra-capable, highly strategic finance professional with a proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting—particularly in a healthcare or NHS-facing environment. You’ll work closely with the CEO and COO, driving financial performance, shaping business strategy, and bringing clarity and control to a fast-paced and purpose-driven organisation.
Lead Financial Management and Reporting
Own all budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and monthly management accounts.
Deliver high-quality, board-level financial reports and KPIs.
Ensure clear visibility into financial performance and trends.
Provide Strategic & Commercial Insight
Support tender pricing, contract negotiations, and NHS commercial models.
Advise senior leadership on long-term planning and scenario modelling.
Deliver insightful analysis to drive profitability and growth.
Ensure Robust Financial Governance
Oversee compliance with all statutory, VAT, payroll, and NHS financial frameworks.
Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and financial systems.
Champion efficiency through automation and process improvement.
Oversee Operational Finance and Team Support
Manage invoicing, payroll, reconciliations, and day-to-day finance ops.
Supervise junior staff or external providers as required.

Candidate Requirements
Requirements:ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant.
5+ years in a senior finance role, ideally within a growing SME or healthcare setting.
Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting.
Experience working with NHS clients or deep understanding of NHS procurement and finance.
Strong Excel skills and experience with tools such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
Desirable:
Background in NHS insourcing, diagnostics, or clinical service delivery.
Prior experience in a part-time Finance Director or Financial Controller role.
Experience preparing financial models for NHS tenders or public sector bids.
Track record in finance system transformation or process automation.
