We are recruiting for a meticulous and well-rounded Civil Design Engineer/Technologist for our client based in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Design of municipal services, including preparation of relevant documentation, and contract/administration monitoring
• Produce technical deliverables for the design and implementation of roads, stormwater services, sewer services, water services, ducting services and bulk earthworks
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and technical project specifications in line with the relevant SANS codes and COLTO
• Good knowledge of local and provincial authority approval processes would be advantageous
• Compilation of Feasibility Study Reports, Technical Reports and Tender Evaluation Reports
• Preparation of construction contract documentation (GCC, FIDIC and JBCC), cost estimates and experience in procurement processes
• Conducting site inspections and leading site meetings
• Construction monitoring, contract administration and processing of payment certificates
• Prepare as-built drawings and close-out reports
• Develop innovative and cost-e􀆯ective solutions to problems/challenges
• Interaction with Clients
