Job Title: Service Advisor – Commercial Vehicles
Location: Pinetown Reports To: Service Manager / Aftersales Manager Department: Aftersales / Service Department

Job Summary:
We are looking for a customer-focused and detail-oriented Service Advisor to join our commercial vehicle service team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, managing service bookings, coordinating workshop activity, and ensuring a smooth and professional aftersales experience. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills, particularly within a commercial or fleet environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Greet and assist commercial clients with service needs, bookings, and repair enquiries.


Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair appointments.


Prepare accurate cost estimates, explain repairs and services, and obtain customer approvals.


Liaise between customers and workshop technicians to communicate progress and updates.


Handle service invoicing, warranty claims, and internal documentation efficiently.


Ensure all vehicles are completed on time and meet quality standards before return.


Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service delivery.


Promote additional products and services where appropriate (e.g., service plans, inspections).


Handle customer complaints professionally, escalating where needed.



Requirements:


Previous experience in a Service Advisor or similar customer service role (automotive or commercial sector preferred).


Knowledge of commercial vehicles, servicing processes, and workshop operations.


Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.


Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


 



Desirable Skills:


Experience dealing with fleet or trade clients.


Understanding of warranty procedures and aftersales KPIs.


Technical knowledge of HGVs, vans, or light commercial vehicles.
