Financial Manager – Financial Services / Insurance | Johannesburg North

A well-established Financial Services giant is looking for a strategic thinker who can drive financial performance, optimize processes, and ensure compliance in a dynamic industry.

Education and Background:

Newly qualified CA(SA) preferred
BCom Honours

Duties:

Prepare budgets & forecasts
Review and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Monthly processing and reviewing of draft trail balances
Prepare monthly reports and analysis thereto
Present reports to executive members
Understand the risks affecting distribution channels and assisting with implementing appropriate systems to mitigate these risks
Review daily payments and detailed analysis of supporting schedules
Ad hoc reports and tasks (e.g., involvement in IFRS17 implementation)
Assist with annual audits

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA articles OR 3 to 4 years' experience within the Insurance or Financial Services industries essential
Insurance industry experience essential (articles client experience or PQE)
Strong IFRS knowledge
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Pastel experience preferred
Financial and business acumen
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
