The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar energy systems and a proven track record in sales. You will be responsible for driving sales, providing technical support, and building strong relationships with customers. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: Technical Expertise:Sound understanding of solar energy systems, including installation, maintenance, and performance metricsAble to effectively communicate technical specifications to non-technical clientsHave a sound understanding of procedures and estimates timeframes from initial project to engagement to final completion Sales Acumen:Proven ability to convert leads into salesDeveloping long-term client relationships within the commercial, industrial, agricultural and mining sectorsAbility to identify potential target markets, draft strategic approach and sales documentation for each target marketClient Focused:Ability to listen to customer needs and feedback in order to better design and articulate optimum sales approach Site Assessment:Conduct site assessments to evaluate the suitability of locations for solar installations Market Analysis:Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market demands to identify new sales opportunities Customer SupportAddress customer inquiries and concerns, providing effective solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction Sales Targets:Achieve and exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company

Qualifications and Experience:
 

• Degree or N4 qualification in engineering, renewable energy for related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Representative in a technical environment (ideally within renewable energy, solar power, or industrial sectors)
• Experience with B2B sales, particularly within commercial markets, dealing with stakeholders such as engineers, facility managers and procurement teams
• Familiarity with the energy industry specifically alternative energy solutions such as solar PV systems
• Work with SM and other digital marketing tools for targeted campaigns
• Fully computer literate – MS Office Suite
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business pipelines
• Proven track record of commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships
