Candidate Requirements
Key job duties or responsibilities:
· Responsible to ensure that client service deliverables are met through delivery of quality work, timeously and in an effective and efficient manner.
· Act as a major point of contact with clients and maintaining client relationship with the firm.
· New client contact, preparing of budgets and fee estimates & proposals for new clients.
· Preparing firm’s annual work plans, with effective allocation of work to team.
· Manage team workflow, work in progress and job budgets.
· Training, coaching and leading team to ensure that work performed is of a high standard and performed efficiently on a proactive basis.
· Review compilation engagements (annual working paper files) performed by the team to ensure adherence to Accounting standards and tax regulations.
· Review of Independent Review Engagements performed by team.
· Tax practitioner duties: Analyse, report and provide advice on taxation.
· Review Tax returns, including provisional tax returns and handle disputes with SARS.
· Prepare and review annual financial statements in terms of IFRS for SME and tax computations.
· Other business services including valuations,business consulting, profit improvement plans and system processes.
· Develop and update Caseware Templates, technical assistance on Caseware.
· General human resource duties including leave scheduling, performance monitoring and evaluation, training and development of team.
