The main purpose of this role will be the Strategic implementation of organisational development activities through research, design, development and facilitation of OD interventions to optimise the alignment of the workforce and key business strategies and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements…
Essential:
- Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years organisation development experience
- 3 Years Managerial experience

- Previous HR/OD experience in retail/FMCG industry

Organisation Design & Workforce Planning:
- Design and implement organizational design practices, aligned with business structures, processes, and roles.
- Manage job evaluation practices, develop job descriptions and management of the job grading for the group.

Talent Management:
- Drive the development and roll-out of an integrated talent management framework, develop initiatives and, practices.
- Manage the annual Talent Review process utilising relevant tools, assess talent and capability requirements and recommend talent retention programmes.
- Leverage talent intelligence solutions to derive analytics and trend analysis through dashboards to enable improved business decisions.
- Implement succession planning and development processes, and solutions to enable succession readiness for critical roles.
- Develop a performance management framework and system that aligns individual performance objectives with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with the recruitment and learning teams to assist with the delivery of initiatives and programs.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
- Collaborates with Group OD and Recruitment managers and Dis-Chem Culture team to design culture focused playbook, engagement materials, systems and facilitates programs.
- Utilise culture data and analytics to support insights and design organisational effectiveness solutions that align the culture in the group.
Change Management:
- Supports change management activities, leverage a change management methodology, process, and tools.
- Assesses change impact, conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
- Ensures adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative, support communication efforts.
- Delivery and management of communications, support the delivery of training programs.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and foster excellent working relationships across departments to understand requirements and ensure employees are engaged across multiple disciplines and departments.
- Work co-operatively and constructively with multiple stakeholders including HR, Marketing and other stakeholders.
Team Management:
- Assess and manage the OD team to continually improve processes and outcomes.
- Promote a robust culture of accountability, innovation, and performance management across the customer care department, whilst modelling the company’s values.
- Assist in setting objectives for the team and tracking progress.
- Assist in facilitating the creation of accountable, full-service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
