My client in the health and personal accident insurance industry is looking for a highly effective, driven and tenacious Policy Administrator.
The position is based in Johannesburg North. The appropriate candidate should ideally live in the Johannesburg North area or it's surrounding area.
The Policy Administrator’s main objectives shall include the following (not to be treated as an exhaustive list):
- The effective and efficient execution of the policy administration process.
- Ensure timeous issuing of new business and renewal quotations, policy amendments and cancellations.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, namely brokers.
- Monitor, measure and control the policy administration processes and procedures in adherence to Company policies and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Policy administration
Reporting excellence
- Payment schedules.
- Risk reviews.
- Monthly reporting.
Relationship building with key stakeholders
Required Skills
- Administration: 2 to 3 years
- Excel: 2 to 3 years
- Claims Management: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years within a financial services industry
- A good understanding of mandates and binder agreements
- Must have a thorough track record of being in a highly administrative role
- Should ideally have a risk management background
- Experience in a customer facing role is pertinent
Skills/Qualifications/Educational requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Risk analysis skills
- Very strong attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office skills i.e., Excel skills to be of an Intermediate to Advanced level.
- Matric qualification is a mandatory requirement
- Tertiary qualification i.e., bachelor’s degree and/or National Diploma in risk management (highly beneficial)
